It’s Showtime for Chicagoland’s Home Improvements!
Whether you’ve just moved into a new place and want to make it your own through remodeling or are planning on moving and need to make some home improvements before you put it on the market, upcoming expos offer improvement options for Chicagoland’s single-family homes, townhouses, condos, apartments or commercial businesses.
Promising “fun for the entire family,”the Chicago Home and Landscape Expo Marketplace gathers a host of vendors ready to meet a number of home improvement needs. Its exhibitors include local tradesmen and contractors who can solve any home improvement challenge.
For more than 30 years, the show has been creating a temporary marketplace where buyers and sellers can discuss construction and maintenance services—for free! That’s right, there’s no entrance fee or cost for parking. The expo also includes drawings at the door with winners announced on Sunday afternoon.
Illinois locations for the expo include Georgio’s Comfort Inn & Conference Center in Orland Park (February 21-22); Fox Valley Park District Vaughan Center in Aurora (February 28-March 1); Kane County Fairgrounds in St. Charles (March 21-22); and at Glenbard South in Glen Ellyn (March 28-29). The show also continues into the spring at the Darien Sportsplex (April 11-12) and the Oak Lawn Pavilion (April 18-19). To learn more, call 630-385-4000
Another area-expo is the Ideal Home Show Chicago where Chicagoland’s premier home and remodeling experts arm patrons with tips on the latest trends, industry advice and demonstrations of new products. This year, Ahmed Hassan from the original HGTV’s and DIY Networks “Yard Crashers”will be addressing audiences on the show’s main stage from January 23 to 25. Additional celebrity speakers as well as fun activities are included in the small entrance fee ($8-$10). For tickets and more information, visit www.idealhomeshowchicago.com.
