Coverage Options

While the staff at Golan's takes all the proper precautions in preparing and moving your belongings, on some occasions accidents do occur. As a fully licensed carrier, insured and bonded with the ICC and US DOT, we offer all of our customers the option of purchasing additional coverage.
Coverage options are available because customers have different needs based on the nature of their possessions. Some customers may need $500,000 of coverage, while others might need only $500, or no coverage at all. If we included in our moving rates the cost of providing coverage based on the customer who needs $500,000, everyone we move would be subsidizing someone else's coverage. That is why our tariff rates are based on the minimum carrier liability and more extensive coverage will cost extra. Additional coverage is called "valuation" (which is like self-insurance provided by Golan's).

Golan's Moving and Storage automatically carries the following insurance as mandated by the ICC and US DOT.
